It's a great day and a great start to the fasting and prayer.
I was pleasantly surprised at some of the ripples the fast is having. Facebook is not part of my fast but it is for others. I was taking a few moments to check people's status and saw that some had posted they were leaving Facebook for 10 days and this was shocking some of their friends. Since they had already started their fast by the time their friends noticed, I hopped on and explained a little about the fast. I'm sure they will have questions from their friends when the fast is over. More chance to talk about Jesus. :)
I was also a little surprised at how quickly my own fast was staring me in the face. I have already explained to the church that I will be fasting news and food in some way. I believe the Lord would have me do a juice-type food fast along with the news. The news was the big thing in my face this morning. I started my car and the radio was on a news channel--quick switch to music. I arrived at the church and there was a newspaper in the mail box. I was walking in looking at the front page when it hit me: "I'm reading the news!!!" I quickly put the paper in the recycle bin.
I'm not sure how everyone else is experiencing the beginning but don't be surprised by surprises. It's just a reminder of what you have committed to the Lord. Rejoice in it and embrace all He has.

Hit a bit of a wall with my head. Well, not literally. Headache and nausea coming on. I need to make sure I'm drinking enough water. This could also have something to do with no coffee today and less sugars. This was not a surprise and I just have to plow through it.
My spiritual reality is greater than the physical reality. Tonight is going to be awesome. I hope to see lots there. You won't want to miss it.
